The Government of Kerala on February 01, 2025, issued a notification regarding Aadhaar Authentication for the Unorganised Daily Waged Employees Distress Relief Scheme.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government of Kerala has mandated Aadhaar authentication for beneficiaries of the Unorganised Daily Waged Employees Distress Relief Fund Scheme, as per Section 7 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016.
•Beneficiaries must either possess an Aadhaar number or apply for Aadhaar enrolment. In case of authentication failure, alternative methods like iris scan, OTP, or physical Aadhaar verification will be used. The scheme ensures no eligible child is denied benefits due to Aadhaar issues.
•This notification is effective from February 01, 2025, its publication date.
