Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on February 01, 2025, notified regarding the amendment in the older notification no. 25/2002-Customs, dated March 01, 2002, seeks to prescribe a duty of 15% on capital goods used by the IT/Electronics industry, subject to actual user condition.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that in the TABLE, for S. No. 69 and the entries relating thereto, the S. Nos. and entries shall be substituted related to Lithium Ion Cell for use in the manufacture of Battery of Mobile Hand sets, and Electrically Operated Vehicles.

• This shall come into force on February 02, 2025.
