The Ministry of Mines on January 29, 2025, issued a National Critical Mineral Mission.
It aims to establish a robust supply chain for 24 critical minerals, ensuring domestic and foreign sourcing, technological advancements, and global competitiveness in exploration, mining, processing, and recycling. To achieve this, the Mission will implement seven key measures, including increasing domestic production, acquiring assets abroad, promoting recycling, strengthening trade and markets, advancing scientific research, developing human resources, and creating effective funding and fiscal incentives. These initiatives will support India's economic growth, climate goals, and sustainable development.
