The Government of Kerala on January 30, 2025, issued the Kerala Sports (Amendment) Bill, 2024, to further amend the Kerala Sports Act, 2000.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The title which states “promotion of sports and games” shall now be substituted to state “promotion of sports, games, e-sports and sports economy”
• In the preamble of the principal Act, for the words “promotion of sports and games”, the words and symbols “promotion of sports, games, e-sports and sports economy” shall be substituted
• Schedule which states “Matters for which provisions may be made in the scheme” has been inserted.
