The Government of Andaman and Nicobar on February 04, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Draft Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Tourism at North Cinque Island.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The SOP is to establish a clear framework for managing tourism activities at North Cinque Island while ensuring the conservation of its unique biodiversity and to protect the natural environment of the Island.
• The SOP outlines the procedure for responsible tourism, visitor’s safety, environmental protection, vessel operation, permitted activities etc.
• Public/stakeholders may send their feedback may be sent by March 01, 2025 to Directorate of IP&T.
