The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on February 07, 2025, issued the Master Direction - Reserve Bank of India (Access Criteria for NDS-OM) Directions, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•Direction 2 lays down various definitions of the terms like All India Financial Institution and Designated Settlement Bank (DSB).
•Direction 3 specifies Any person or entity eligible to invest in Government securities, as per the rules/guidelines issued by the Government of India, State Governments, or the Reserve Bank, can access NDS-OM. Access can be through direct, indirect, or Stock Broker Connect methods, as per these directions.
•Direction 4 specifies about the Eligible Entities.
These Directions shall come into force with immediate effect.
