The Government of Karnataka on February 05, 2025, issued the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Model Building (Amendment) Bye-Laws, 2024, to further amend the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Model Building Bye-Laws, 2017.
The following has been stated namely: -
• After chapter 16, a new chapter shall be inserted, namely:- “ Chapter 17 - "Digital Communications".
• In chapter 17, a sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:- “(17.1) Emerging technologies in Tele-Communication Services”.
• Byelaw 17 states the Provisions for In-building solutions for Digital Communication Infrastructure, including Emerging technologies in Tele-Communication Services, Policy efforts, procedure for setting up In-building solution (IBS) or Fiber Networks, etc
