The Department of Finance, Delhi on February 04, 2025, issued the Delhi Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Rules, 2024.
This shall come into force on February 07, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Rule 3 - "Ceiling for Self-Help Groups", states that any periodical payment made by an individual member of a Self-Help Group up to Rs. 50,000/- per month but not exceeding Rs. 5,00,000/- in the financial year, shall not form a part of 'deposit'.
• Rule 4 provides the Powers and duties of the Competent Authority.
• Rule 10 provides details about the valuation reports to be obtained while releasing properties attached
