The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) on February 11, 2025, notified regaring the Narcotics Trade.
The following has been stated namely:-
• It states that the government has implemented a 4-tier NCORD mechanism, empowered agencies under the NDPS Act, established dedicated task forces, enhanced inter-agency coordination, strengthened border and maritime drug enforcement, created the NIDAAN database, and continues capacity-building initiatives to combat illicit narcotics trade.
• It states that the government has launched the 24x7 MANAS helpline (1933) for drug-related issues, implemented the NAPDDR to reduce substance abuse, expanded Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) nationwide, established multiple rehabilitation centers, signed MoUs with spiritual organizations for awareness, conducted mass pledges, and holds high-level conferences to combat illegal drug trade.
