The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on February 10, 2025, notified the date of establishment and withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to the Symbols and Abbreviations for Use in Geological Maps.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the dates of establishment shall be January 29, 2025: -
• IS 7422 (Part 5):2025 Symbols and Abbreviations for Use in Geological Maps, Sections, and Subsurface Exploratory Logs Part 5 Line Symbols for Formation Contacts and Structural Features (First Revision).
• IS 13371:2025 ISO 3455:2021 Hydrometry — Calibration of Current-Meters in Straight Open Tanks (Second Revision).
• IS 14476 (Part 1 to 9):2025 Pumping Test of Water Wells —Code of Practice (First Revision).
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the date of withdrawal shall be July 29, 2025: -
• IS 7422 (Part 5):1992 Symbols and Abbreviations for Use in Geological Maps, Sections and Sub-Surface Exploratory Logs Part 5 Line Symbols for Formation Contacts and Structural Features.
• IS 13371:2014 ISO 3455:2007 Hydrometry — Calibration of Current-Meters in Straight Open Tanks (First Revision).
• IS 14476 (Part 1 to 9):1998 Test Pumping of Water Wells — Code of Practice.
