The Government of Maharashtra on February 06, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Biometric-Based Aadhaar Authentication for GST Registration.
The Commissioner of State Tax, Maharashtra, under the powers conferred by Rule 8(4A) of the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, has notified Facilitation Centres for biometric-based Aadhaar authentication. These centres, specified in the official notification, will cater to applicants based on their jurisdiction and will be responsible for Aadhaar authentication, photograph capture, and verification of original documents submitted with the GST registration application.
