The Department of Urban Development, Delhi on February 10, 2025, notified regarding the approval of the Urban Development Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi/MCD to use voluntary Aadhaar authentication (Yes/No or e-KYC) for surveying street vendors.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has approved the Urban Development Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi/MCD to use voluntary Aadhaar authentication (Yes/No or e-KYC) for conducting a survey of street vendors and providing monetary benefits under various schemes.
• This approval, granted shall ensure compliance with Aadhaar Authentication for Good Governance (Social Welfare, Innovation Knowledge) Rules, 2020.
• The consent form to be collected from the claimants is specified in Schedule “A” appended to this notification.
