The Department of Ports, Govt. of Karnataka on February 10, 2025, issued the Draft Karnataka Harbour Craft (Amendment) Rules,2025, to further amend the Karnataka Harbour Craft Rules, 1963.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that Appendix II and the entries relating thereto shall be substituted namely:- “APPENDIX-II Fees for survey, Licensing, Inspection of Harbour Crafts, Endorsing charge of Tindals and Issue of Competence Certificate of Serang / Engine Driver ”.
• It provides that the annual escalation of 5% is fixed/considered as per the concurrence of the Finance Department vide Note No. FD 450 Exp-1/2024 dated December 02, 2024.
• Any objections and suggestions on the draft rules may be sent to "Secretary to Government, Infrastructure Development, Ports and Inland Water Transport Department, Ground Floor, Vikasa Soudha, Bengaluru - 560001" on or before March 12, 2025
