The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I) on February 11, 2025, issued Air Conditioner and its related Parts, Hermetic Compressor and Temperature Sensing Controls (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025, to further amend Air Conditioner and its related Parts, Hermetic Compressor and Temperature Sensing Controls (Quality Control) Order, 2019.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In paragraph 2, after the second proviso, a new proviso shall be inserted, namely:- “Provided also that nothing in this order shall apply to Hermetic Compressors of more than 7000 W (2TR) capacity for one year from the date of commencement of the Air Conditioner and its related Parts, Hermetic Compressor and Temperature Sensing Controls (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025 to the manufacturers of Air conditioning and Refrigeration equipment and related parts”.
