The Labour Welfare Department, Assam on January 12, 2025, issued the notification regarding the VDA payable to the employees in the certain scheduled employments.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The scheduled employments are fixed on the basis of 100% rise on average all India General Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers. (base 2016-100).
• The total wages per month (Wage per month + Previous VDA Cumulated + New VDA per month) for the following categories of workers are: -
o Unskilled Workers – 10138.75
o Semi Skilled/Unskilled Supervisory – 11785.35
o Skilled Workers/Clerical Workers – 14732.64
o Highly skilled Workers – 18941.28
• The Schedules are stated in the notification
• This is with effect from June 01, 2024.
