The Central Depository Services (India) Limited, (CDSL) on February 12, 2025, issued an amendment to DP Operating Instructions Annexure 11.1.
CDSL has updated its DP Operating Instructions by adding new penalty provisions for non-compliance related to System Audit, Cyber Security Audit, Incident Reporting, and VAPT. Depository Participants (DPs) failing to submit reports or address audit observations within the stipulated timelines will face daily penalties, potential restrictions on new demat account openings, and referral to the Member Committee for repeated delays. These measures aim to enhance compliance, cyber security, and risk management within the depository system.
