The Government of Tripura on January 17, 2025, notified the Tripura land pooling and plot reconstitution policy, 2025.
The Policy aims to facilitate planned urban development by consolidating land parcels through voluntary participation. This policy, implemented under the Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority (TUDA), seeks to develop modern integrated townships with essential infrastructure and amenities. It applies to areas under TUDA and designated Special Planning Areas, ensuring structured urban expansion while enhancing land value and minimizing displacement.
Additionally, Private Developer Entities can participate in land pooling and township development by meeting eligibility criteria and securing a license from the authority. The policy supports infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, and urban services, making it a flexible tool for sustainable growth. By streamlining land assembly and development, the policy aims to improve urban planning efficiency across Tripura, fostering economic growth and better living standards.
