The University Grants Commission (UGC), on February 11, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Deeksharambh-Student Induction Programme.
The UGC has mandated the Student Induction Programme (SIP) to ensure a smooth transition for students from secondary education to college/university. UGC has notified "Deeksharambh", a guide to SIP, available at UGC Website.
As the new academic session approaches, universities are requested to organize Student Induction Programmes and upload an Action Plan, Photographs, and Videos of the conducted programmes on UGC’s University Activity Monitoring Portal (UAMP) https://uamp.ugc.ac.in/. Institutions affiliated with the universities should also be instructed to comply with this initiative.
