Labour ComplianceThe Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), on February 13, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Timely Payment of Pharmaceutical Firms under ESIC Central Rate Contract.

ESIC) has received multiple representations from approved pharmaceutical firms regarding pending payments for drug supplies to ESIC and ESIS Institutes. The issue has been raised in meetings with pharmaceutical firms and is a matter of serious concern for ESIC Headquarters.

As per the Rate Contract/Tender Enquiry, payments must be made within 4 to 6 weeks after receipt and acceptance of drugs/items and submission of invoices. To ensure timely disbursement, ESIC has issued strict compliance instructions for processing invoices within 10 days at each department level (Main Medical Store, Cash Branch, and Finance Section). Additionally, institutions must submit data on pending payments exceeding 6 weeks to ESIC Headquarters within 15 days.
