The Department of Forest, Himachal Pradesh on January 17, 2025, issued the notification regarding the amendments to order No. FFE-B-A(3)-4/99, dated September 10, 2002 regarding the temporary regulating, restricting and prohibiting throughout the areas in Himachal Pradesh.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Para 1 has been amended namely: -
After sr. No.3, following species of trees shall be added, namely: -
4. Japanese Toot - Broussonetia papyrifera
5. Leuceania - Leuceania Leucocephala
• For the note mentioned below third proviso, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “The felling of trees for sale in respect of other species shall be permitted by the Chief Conservator of Forests/Conservator of Forests(T), provided that the process of demarcation/marking of trees under 10 year felling programme is completed upto 31.01. 2025.”
