The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) on February 14, 2025, issued clarification regarding AEBAS Implementation in all PCI-approved pharmacy institutions.
The following has been stated: -
•The Pharmacy Council has mandated the purchase of AEBAS devices for all Pharmacy Approved Institutions as per the guidelines in circulars dated February 07, 2025, and January 24, 2025. Institutions must ensure the devices are UIDAI whitelisted for Aadhaar authentication.
•They are required to upload AEBAS device details on the DIGI-PHARMed Portal for compliance.
•Further guidelines on registration and onboarding will be provided soon, and institutions should refrain from using any other portals for this process.
