Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Madhya Pradesh on February 14, 2025, issued amendments to the Madhya Pradesh Foreign Liquor Rules, 1996.

The following has been stated: -

•In rule 8, in sub-rule (1), for clause (aa-8), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-

(aa-8) R.W.S.1 (Licence for sale of heritage liquor and wine made in Madhya Pradesh from retail wine shop).

•In rule 8 in sub-rule (1) in clauses (aa-10), (bb), (bbbb), (c), (cc), (d), and (e), after the words "foreign liquor", wherever they occur, the words "and heritage liquor" shall be inserted.

•For rule 8-A, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-

8-A. F.L.H.B. (Home Bar Licence).- Home bar license shall be granted in Form F.L.H.B. for consumption and possession of foreign liquor and heritage liquor in the personal residence of such person whose reported gross individual income is a minimum of Rs. 35 lakhs, as per his/her income tax return for the previous financial year.
