Industry Specific Compliance The Lokpal of India on February 17, 2025, notified regarding the renaming of the Reserve Bank – Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, 2013, reserves the term 'Lokpal' exclusively for the statutory anti-corruption body, making its use in the RBI’s Ombudsman Scheme, 2021, inappropriate.

• Consequently, the RBI has replaced 'Lokpal' with 'Ombudsman' in the Hindi version of the scheme and all related documents.
