The Government of Chhattisgarh on February 14, 2025, issued a notification to exempt the stamp duty chargeable on the deeds executed in respect of obtaining loan-advances (not including bank guarantee) from bank/financial institutions permitted by the Reserve Bank of India, for the industries/service enterprises/undertakings to be set up under the Industrial Policy, 2024-30, for a period of three years for the whole of Chhattisgarh from the date of issue of first loan sanction order:-
• Establishment of eligible new micro, small, medium enterprises (enterprises shown in Appendix-6 of the Industrial Policy), mega project and ultra mega project large category enterprises (including core sector enterprises shown in Appendix-5 of the Industrial Policy) (excluding ineligible enterprises shown in Appendix-3 of the Industrial Policy);
• Establishment of Industrial Area/Industrial Park to be set up by private investors in private sector approved by Government of India/State Government;
• Establishment of eligible new film production studios, editing studios, sound recording studios and film processing related enterprises;
• Eligible solar power projects, pharmaceutical enterprises and information technology and information technology-enabled services;
• Establishment of new enterprises in logistics services sector such as logistics hubs, warehouses, cold storage as envisaged in the Industrial Development Policy, 2024-30;
• Purchase of “closed and sick” enterprises under Industrial Development Policy, 2024-30;
• There will be exemption from stamp duty on purchase of land / lease for minimum 5 years under the Startup Package under Industrial Development Policy, 2024-30;
• Establishment of eligible micro, small, medium and large category new manufacturing enterprises and expansion/diversification/replacement/modernization of existing manufacturing enterprises.
