The Government of Chhattisgarh on February 14, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Stamp Duty Exemption for Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Corporation Industrial Policy 2024.
Under Section 9(1)(a) of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, has exempted stamp duty on instruments executed by Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Corporation Limited (CIDC) for the purchase/lease of land, buildings, industrial plots, and infrastructure development as per the Industrial Policy 2024-30.
The following has been stated-
Exemption Certificate – Issued by the Industries Commissioner/Director of Industries or an authorized officer, required for availing the exemption.
Certificate Submission – Must be attached in original to the purchase deed at the time of registration.
Effective Date – The exemption is applicable from November 11, 2024.
Non-Retroactive – Stamp duty already paid before the notification’s publication will not be refunded.
