Secretarial ComplianceThe National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) on February 18, 2025, notified regarding the suspension of demat accounts of existing clients whose KYC records are not found to be valid by KRAs after the validation process.

The following has been stated namely:-

• It states that KRAs have identified invalid KYC records, including PAN issues, for updates made in January 2025, and NSDL has provided the DP-wise list of non-compliant demat accounts on the i-Assist portal for participants to review and address with clients.

• It further states that NSDL will freeze non-compliant demat accounts for "Suspended for debit and credit" on March 1, 2025, based on updated KRA data available as on February 28, 2025, and participants shall notify affected clients through suitable communication channels.
