The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited, (NCDEX), on February 18, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Modifications in Contract launch calendar of Kapas (KAPAS) Futures Contract.
Modification in Kapas (KAPAS) Futures Contract Launch Calendar – As per SEBI Circular SEBI/HO/MRD/MRD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2023/136 dated August 04, 2023, the Exchange has modified the contract launch schedule for Kapas Futures Contracts expiring in April 2026 and beyond, effective March 03, 2025. The April 2026 contract will now be launched on March 03, 2025, instead of April 01, 2025, and all future April contracts will be launched in March of the preceding year. Existing contracts (Feb 2025, Apr 2025, Nov 2025, Feb 2026) will continue as per current specifications. Contracts will be governed by Exchange Bye-Laws, SEBI regulations, and notified circulars, and market participants must ensure compliance with FSSAI, AGMARK, WDRA, GST, APMC Tax, and Stamp Duty. The Modified Contract Launch Calendar is provided in Annexure I, and participants are advised to review the updated contract specifications and trading processes available on the Exchange website.
