The U.T Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu on January 31, 2025, issued the Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• These rules shall replace the Dadra and Nagar Haveli Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 1999, and Daman & Diu Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 2000.
• It states that the period of gestation for clause (g) of sub-section (i) of section 2 shall be twenty-eight weeks.
• It states that the report under sub-section (4) of section 4, shall be prepared in the prescribed format appended to these Rules and shall be submitted along with the statistical report referred to in sub-section (2) of section 19, to the Advisor to the Administrator by the Chief Registrar for every year by the July 31, of the year following the year to which the report relates.
