The Government of Tamil Nadu on February 17, 2025, issued amendments to the Tamil Nadu Rectified Spirit Rules, 2000.

The following amendments have been stated:

In rule 16, in sub-rule (3), in clause (ii), for the expression “or silent spirit, absolute alcohol and denatured spirit” the expression “or silent spirit and absolute alcohol” shall be substituted.
