The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I) on February 19, 2025, notified the Copper Product (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025 to amend the Copper Product (Quality Control) Order, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•In paragraph 2, after the second proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: -
Provided also that this order shall not apply from the commencement of the Copper Products (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025 for a period up to the 31st March 2025 to goods or articles imported by a manufacturer for manufacturing equipment or product or sub-assemblies or component in India mentioned under column (1) of the Table below, upto the value of goods or articles specified under columns (2) of the Table.
It shall come into force on February 19, 2025.
