The National E-Governance Services Ltd. (NeSL) on February 19, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Auto Calculation of Stamp Duty in State of Punjab.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The article below is enabled with an auto calculator as per the instructions from the Punjab Government. The system will calculate and override the amount before the e-stamp is generated: -
o Article 6 - Agreement relating to deposit of title deeds, pawn or pledge, mortgage by way of deposit of Title Deed (Equitable Mortgage) and hypothecation
o Stamp Duty Calculation: 0.25% of consideration price (loan amount); minimum amount of Rs. 50/- (as informed by SHCIL)
