The Bharat BillPay, on February 18, 2025, issued a notification regarding the UPMS feature enablement for FASTag and NCMC biller categories.
It has been decided that payments for auto-replenishment of FASTag and NCMC, since they are recurring in nature but without any fixed periodicity, will be exempt from the requirement of pre-debit notification.
In furtherance to the aforementioned, UPMS will enable getting information on the balance amount available in the FASTag/NCMC account of the customer if it drops below the set threshold amount. This information would facilitate the OUs' auto-debiting of the customer's account for replenishment of the FASTag/NCMC account.
Reiterate that UPMS is built in the interest of the end customer and standardizes the mandate experience, and all OUs are required to take urgent steps for implementation of the same.
