The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on February 20, 2025, issued a notification regarding amendments to the Schedule of the Insecticides Act, 1968.
The following has been stated: -
•The Central Government has amended the Schedule of the Insecticides Act, 1968, adding new substances after "Mecoprop-P." These include Optichos (9012-76-4), Bromethalin (63333-35-7), Diflufenzopyr (109293-97-2), Flufenoximacil (2759011-88-4), Isaria fumosorosea (entomopathogenic fungus), Iptriazopyrid (1994348-72-9), and Pioxaniliprole (2368920-61-8), along with their chemical details.
