In January 2025, the All-India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL) and Rural Labourers (CPI-RL) saw a decrease of 4 points and 3 points, respectively, reaching 1316 and 1328 points. The year-on-year inflation rates for January 2025 were 4.61% for CPI-AL and 4.73% for CPI-RL, a notable decrease from the previous year's rates of 7.52% and 7.37% in January 2024. The inflation rates in December 2024 were slightly higher, at 5.01% for CPI-AL and 5.05% for CPI-RL.
