The Government of Haryana on February 21, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Holiday Announcement for Municipal Election Workers.
The following has been stated: -
•The Haryana government has declared March 02, 2025, and March 09, 2025, as holidays with wages for workers in shops and commercial establishments in the state. This holiday is for employees enrolled as voters in upcoming municipal elections.
•The purpose is to allow them the opportunity to vote in the mayoral, council, and committee elections. The holiday applies only to those eligible to vote within the specified jurisdiction.
