The Andaman and Nicobar Administration on December 13, 2024, issued the draft Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (A & N Islands) Rules, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It notified that clause (x) of sub-section (1) of section 2, shall not include those who are, for the time being getting wages equivalent to or more than minimum wages applicable to that industry.
• Objections and suggestions shall be addressed to the Labour Commissioner and DET, Department of Labour, Supply Lane, Sri Vijaya Puram- 744101, on or before 30 days from the date of its publication on the Official website.
• This draft rule shall be established with the Andaman & Nicobar Administration as the appropriate Government under the Code.
