The Government of Himachal Pradesh on February 18, 2025, issued the Himachal Pradesh Taxation (on Certain Goods Carried by Road) Amendment Act, 2024, to further amend the Himachal Pradesh Taxation (on Certain Goods Carried by Road) Act, 1999.
The amendments have been made in section 4-A, namely: -
• in sub-section (1), the words “Assistant Excise and Taxation Commissioner or Excise and Taxation Officer Incharge of the District”, shall be substituted with the words, letters and signs “Assistant Commissioner of State Taxes and Excise (GST/Allied Taxes) of the concerned jurisdiction”.
• in sub-section (3-a), the words “Assistant Excise and Taxation Officer Incharge of the District”, shall be substituted with the words, letters and signs “Assistant Commissioner of State Taxes and Excise (GST/Allied Taxes) of the concerned jurisdiction”.
