The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on February 25, 2025, notified regarding the adherence to NABL scope of accreditation for testing of referral samples.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that all FSSAI-notified referral laboratories shall strictly adhere to their NABL accreditation scope under ISO 17025 when testing referral samples, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• They are instructed to perform tests only within their approved premises and scope of recognition and shall test only the parameters specified by Designated Officers (DOs) or Authorized Officers (AOs) in Form VIA.
