The Government of Maharashtra on February 24, 2025, issued a notification regarding the special allowance/ dearness allowance and house rent allowance of security guards/officers.
The Board has decided to register with the Maharashtra Labor Welfare Board on behalf of the principal employer. Accordingly, it has passed a resolution dated August 06, 2024, deciding to increase the levy of 0.10% on basic pay and special allowance/dearness allowance levied by the Board for contribution per worker by the principal employer. The Security Guard Board has recorded the Special Allowance/ Dearness Allowance and House Rent Allowance of Security Guards/Officers Board No. Suram/Vibh/Aldo/2024-7602 vide order dated August 06, 2024, was fixed with effect from July 01, 2024.
The Board has fixed the rate of Special Allowance/Dearness Allowance at Rs.3,614.00 per month for the period from January 01, 2025, to June 30, 2025. Accordingly, the board dated By decision dated February 24, 2025, the Special Allowance/Dearness Allowance of Security Guard/Officer has been fixed at Rs.3,614.00 per month for the period from January 01, 2025, to June 30, 2025.
The Board has imposed a house rent allowance at the rate of 20% on minimum pay (pay and special allowance/dearness allowance) to security guards/officers on record. In the records, the rate of travel allowance, leave travel allowance and washing allowance of security guards/officers has been passed by the board in order no. Suram/President/2023-2467, dated May 16, 2023, no change has been made therein.
