Govt. of Punjab issued amendment in the scheme for Capital Subsidy to units installing paddy straw fuel-based boilers under the Industrial & Business Development Policy, 2022

class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Department of Industrial & Commerce, Govt. of Punjab on February 20, 2025, issued amendment in the scheme for Capital Subsidy to units installing paddy straw fuel-based boilers under the Industrial & Business Development Policy, 2022.

It states that in chapter 12, clause no. 12.28, Special fiscal incentives to existing industries to switch over to Paddy Straw fuel-based boilers shall be substituted, it states that 

• The incentive of Capital Subsidy shall be availed in accordance with the procedure for availing fiscal incentive as per clause 16.19 of IBDP-2022.

• The Boiler shall remain in operation for 5 years from the date of sanction of incentive failing which the amount of Capital Subsidy shall be recovered in accordance with clause 14.3.

• 100% exemption/reimbursement from Stamp Duty on purchase or lease of land and building to be exclusively used for storage of paddy straw.
