The Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Bihar (RERA) on February 25, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Display of QR Codes in advertisements & prospectuses, es, etc. by Promoters and Real Estate Agents registered with the Authority.
The following has been stated: -
•The RERA, Bihar, mandates promoters and real estate agents to display QR codes for registered projects in advertisements, social media, brochures, websites, booking forms, allotment letters, and display boards.
•The QR code should be prominent and easily scannable, alongside the project registration number and website address. Real estate agents must provide the QR code and project details to buyers.
•Non-compliance will result in penalties under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016. The directive will take effect from March 01, 2025.
