The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAFPD) on February 26, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Export Quota for export during Sugar Season 2024-25 and consequent adjustment on monthly release quantity on account of exchange of export quantity with domestic monthly release quantity.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The export of 10 LMT of sugar has been granted
• Now, the exchange of export quota quantity from the quantity of monthly release quota has been allowed.
• In this regard, requests along with agreements between sugar mills involved in exchange of their Export quantity and domestic monthly release quantity have been examined in this Department and additional export quantity has been allocated and domestic quota of the sugar mills have also been adjusted as mentioned in Annexure.
