The Department of Industries and Commerce, UT of Ladakh on February 25, 2025, issued the Ladakh Industrial Land Allotment Policy, 2025-35.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It aims to promote, inter alia, the youth of Ladakh to achieve inclusive growth and bring economic prosperity through sustainable industrialization & employment generation.
• It states that it is essential to ensure optimal and judicious utilization of the land resource in UT Ladakh by satisfying the developmental needs of various regional sectors.
• Its mission is “Industrial growth through enhancing competitiveness by focusing on rapid industrialization besides creating an enabling economic development and creating employment opportunities; ensure sustainable development and balanced growth of industry to make UT Ladakh one of the preferred destinations for investment”.
