EHS ComplianceThe Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on February 23, 2025, issued a circular regarding the exemption of industrial/non-industrial units from the consent purview of the Board.

The following has been stated: - 

•The Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change has exempted industries categorized as White from obtaining Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO). 

•These units must submit a self-declaration to the State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs)/Pollution Control Committees (PCCs) through the online consent portal. 

•No consent fee is required, and the units will be listed separately by SPCBs/PCCs. The occupier must register the unit and provide operational details online. 

•If any non-compliant activities are found, the occupier will face penalties under the Water and Air Pollution Acts.
