The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on March 03, 2025, issued a circular regarding the Early Redemption Of Sovereign Gold Bonds Calendar For The Period April 2025 To September 2025.
The following process to be followed for submission of the early redemption request by the client to the Participant are:
• The holders of bonds under the said ISIN’s, who wish to participate in the early redemption option will be required to submit the Repurchase/Redemption Request Form (RRF) to the DP.
• The DP shall execute and forward the early redemption request electronically under Rematerialisation Module-Restat Option- Redemption in the CDAS system.
• Under the redemption option, the field for quantity is to be selected and the relevant quantity needs to be entered. Please do not use the amount option.
• The DP shall provide the details of aforesaid request in the format enclosed at Annexure A in .xls format by e-mail (subject line of mail should be “Early Redemption Request for SGB ISIN ”) to [email protected]
• DPs are advised to ensure the correctness of the bank details of the client in the demat account to avoid return of the redemption amount.
