The UGC letter (No. D.O.F. N.1-112023, dated 23 September 2024) emphasizes the implementation of the UGC Guidelines and Curriculum Framework for environmental education at the undergraduate level. It requests all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to ensure the incorporation of an Environment Education course in all undergraduate programs. This initiative aims to foster environmental literacy and responsibility in students, in line with the mandate from the Hon'ble Supreme Court. Additionally, it aligns with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
