The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on March 03, 2025, issued the Draft Food Safety and Standards (Vegan Foods) Amendment Regulations, 2025, to further amend the Food Safety and Standards (Vegan Foods) Regulations, 2022.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Objections or suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, FDA Bhavan, Kotla Road, New Delhi – 110002 or sent on email at [email protected] and on or before May 2, 2025.
• In sub regulation 3 of regulation 5 relating to vegan food compliance, for the words “the format as specified by the authority is accepted”, the words and figures shall be substituted with “form I of these regulations”.
• After regulation 5 relating to vegan food compliance, it shall be inserted, namely: - “Certificate to be issued by the recognized authority of the exporting country”.
