The Government of Madhya Pradesh on February 28, 2025, issued the Madhya Pradesh Film Tourism Policy 2025.
The policy is implemented to facilitate/incentivize the production/filming of feature films, web series, TV serials, reality shows, documentaries and short films in Madhya Pradesh and to promote private investment in the film tourism sector.
The policy aims to make Madhya Pradesh a film tourism friendly state and to generate more investment and employment opportunities through the film industry in the state.
The following Strategy has been stated:
Under the policy to promote film tourism in the state, the following measures will be taken to promote film tourism in the state:-
• To make all possible efforts to simplify all processes regarding approvals, permissions and licences etc.
• Providing financial incentives and concessions to attract investments.
• Providing government land for infrastructure construction and encouraging investment promotion.
• To provide a favourable environment for film production.
