The Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh on February 28, 2025, issued the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Promotion Policy 2025.
Madhya Pradesh is emerging as an industrial hub with strong economic growth, driven by a skilled workforce, strategic location, and investor-friendly policies. Its thriving manufacturing sector and robust infrastructure support diverse industries, including automobiles, textiles, and renewable energy.
The following objectives of the Policy are as stated:-
• Madhya Pradesh aims to become a $2 trillion economy by 2047, targeting a GSDP of $305 billion by 2028-29, focusing on sustainable, inclusive growth and innovation.
• To drive industrial growth in Madhya Pradesh and increase industries' contribution to the State's GDP from 2.9 lakh crore in FY 2023-24 to 5.4-5.9 lakh crore by 2028-29.
• To develop world-class industrial infrastructure in order to provide a holistic industrial ecosystem to the investors and ancillaries.
• To promote environmentally sustainable industrial growth and balanced regional development.
• To enhance employment opportunities in the State, with a special impetus on employment-intensive sectors, aiming to create around 20 lakh new job opportunities in the next five years.
• To improve investor facilitation and enhance Ease of Doing Business in the State.
• To create a future-ready workforce by aligning state schemes with industry requirements.
