The Government of Maharashtra on February 20, 2025, issued a notification regarding Minimum Wages for Scheduled Industries (2025).
The following has been stated: -
•Under the Minimum Wages Act, of 1948, the total minimum wage for workers in Scheduled Industries is calculated as the sum of the Basic Minimum Wage and the Special Allowance. This new wage structure is effective from January 01, 2025, to June 30, 2025.
•The wage rates are set on a circle-wise basis, with each circle having a designated minimum basic pay scale.
